The system is completely self-contained and highly water-efficient, requiring no sewer connection, minimal water input, and optional solar or mains power. It includes an aerobic treatment reactor, a membrane biological reactor (MBR), and integrated disinfection to ensure consistently clean recycled water. Its compact design supports both off-grid and on-grid installations and provides hygienic, sustainable sanitation with very low operational demand.

How It Works:

Wastewater from each flush enters an aerobic bioreactor, where naturally forming bacteria break down organic waste. The water then passes through a membrane filtration process and a final disinfection stage to remove pathogens. Once treated, the clean water is recycled back into the system for repeated flushing, creating a closed-circuit loop with no wastewater discharge to the environment.

This system requires no water, electricity, or chemicals and uses passive ventilation to stay odour-free. It separates liquids and solids, reduces waste volume significantly, and poses no risk of soil or water contamination. Its durable design makes it ideal for rural, remote, off-grid, or water-scarce environments while keeping maintenance simple and low-cost.

How It Works:

Waste enters the unit and separates into liquid and solid components; liquids drain to the bottom while solids rest on a drying plate. Continuous airflow and solar-assisted heat drive evaporation and dehydration, while microbes break down organic matter. Over time, waste is converted into a dry, stabilised material, and odours are removed through a negative-pressure ventilation system that directs air upward and out of the unit.
